A Venetian Affair
The author's father found a packet of letters in the attic of the ancient family palazzo in Venice from Andrea Memmo, a great-great-great-great-great grandfather, to his young lover whom he was forbidden to marry. Wings of the Dove
Classic Henry James story of a love triangle set in Venice in the early twentieth century. It was recently made into a movie with beautiful scenes of Venice.
